“Radio City Music Hall – Live!” was filmed at the iconic New York venue on March 30, 2007. It was the first US concert by the Dio / Iommi / Butler/ Appice line-up for over 15 years and formed part of Heaven & Hell’s 2007 world tour. It was the success of this tour that led to the continued existence of Heaven & Hell, a new studio album and further live dates, and ongoing plans that were only curtailed by the sad death of Ronnie James Dio. Filmed in high definition but originally released on DVD only by Rhino in North America, the show is now being released for the first time on Blu-ray by Eagle Vision with additional bonus material.
On May 17th, the concert will be released on Blu-Ray from Eagle Rock Entertainment.
All of the existing content from the 2007 DVD will be on the Blu-Ray. What’s new (other than the fantastic hi-def transfer itself) is an additional band interview.
While the disc is not yet available for pre-order (that should happen some time in April), we will bring you that information as soon as it is available to us.

RONNIE JAMES DIO STAND UP & SHOUT CANCER FUND TEAMS WITH
ASIAN ELEPHANT ART PROJECT TO RAISE FUNDS AND AWARENESS
The Ronnie James Dio Stand Up & Shout Cancer Fund has teamed with The Asian Elephant Art & Conservation Project (AEACP) to create one-of-a-kind guitars painted by the project’s elephants in Thailand to raise money and awareness for both organizations. Wendy Dio, president and founder of Stand Up & Shout, board chair Gloria Butler and medical director Dr. Sandeep Kapoor, along with legendary Black Sabbath/Heaven and Hell bassist Geezer Butler and world-renowned photographer Mark Weiss, are currently in Chiang Mai, Thailand, home to the AEACP, where the guitars are being painted.
The talented elephants of the Asian Elephant Art & Conservation Project, whose paintings are now exhibited and sold in museums and galleries around the world and have been featured in National Geographic, are painting guitars graciously donated by The ESP Guitar Company. These painted guitars will be auctioned off with half of the proceeds going to AEACP and the other half going to SUAS.
The Ronnie James Dio Stand Up and Shout Cancer Fund is a privately funded nonprofit organization dedicated to cancer prevention, research and education. It was founded in memory of the late singer who died in 2010. The organization is collecting additional guitars donated by celebrated musicians for a larger fund-raising auction later this year.
The AEACP is dedicated to saving the diminishing number of Asian Elephants and to raise public awareness of the plight of Asian Elephants. National Thai Elephant Day annually celebrates the importance of elephants a part of Thai culture and as part of their environment. Currently, there are between 3,000 and 4,000 elephants living in Thailand, half of which are domesticated.

Heaven & Hell
Announce One Off Show
A Tribute To Ronnie James Dio
At
High Voltage Festival, Saturday 24th July 2010
Proceeds to be donated to the
Ronnie James Dio “Stand Up And Shout” Cancer Fund
On the 16th May 2010 Ronnie James Dio passed away and the world of music mourned the loss of the greatest voice of heavy metal.
Dio was a truly iconic figure in music, whose work with Elf, Rainbow, Black Sabbath, Dio and most recently Heaven & Hell defined a genre.
Heaven & Hell were set to be on the road in Europe this summer when news came through that despite the amazing progress he was making Ronnie wouldn’t be well enough to tour and those shows were cancelled. But now, remaining members Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler and Vinny Appice are set to play a one off show to celebrate his life and work. The band will be completed by Glenn Hughes and Jorn Lande who will both contribute vocals. Former Deep Purple / Black Sabbath star Glenn Hughes was a close friend of Ronnie’s for many years and performed a musical tribute at Ronnie’s funeral service in Los Angeles. Norwegian Jorn Lande is best known in the UK as the vocalist for power metal band Masterplan, he has also released many solo albums including a tribute to Ronnie. It promises to be a fitting celebration to a man that the metal scene owes so much.
“It’s going to be a very emotional occasion. Ronnie loved his fans like no-one else I know – and they loved him. It will be a privilege doing a gig in honour of his memory, and to help towards his charity. Above all, I hope it encourages people to have regular check-ups for this disease. Early detection is vital, and greatly improves the chance of a cure. I know everyone has heard that a million times before, but seeing one of your best friends die because we all think we’re immune from this disease, really brings it home. Do it for yourself, your family, your friends. Ronnie would be proud of you.” Love & Peace, Geezer Butler
Tony Iommi says “Ronnie’s passing has left a huge hole, we hadn’t anywhere near finished what we set out to do as a band together. He was so looking forward to the European tour and we hope this appearance will go some way to fulfilling that.”

Heavy Metal Legends HEAVEN & HELL have been confirmed as headline act for BLOODSTOCK OPEN AIR 2010. The metal masters have chosen to headline the 10th anniversary of the festival, crowning an already incredible line up, befitting such an important milestone. Living legend/Guitarist TONY IOMMI commented:
“Great for Geezer and me to play somewhere near to home, even better to headline a legendary festival. Thanks for the opportunity!”
BLOODSTOCK more than welcomes their appearance. Says founder Paul Gregory:
“10 years of bringing the UK a METAL festival that metalheads can be proud of has just been made better with the announcement of Heaven and Hell. As a fan to say I’m made up with the announcement would be the understatement of the millennium. This year Bloodstock has come of age”
BLOODSTOCK OPEN AIR is undoubtedly the UK’s most loyal festival to the metal genre. A performance featuring members of BLACK SABBATH – the true pioneers of the genre – at this special 10 year anniversary is an occasion for any metal fan to celebrate, and one the BLOODSTOCK attendees will welcome with heart, body and soul. The promise of RONNIE JAMES DIO, TONY IOMMI, GEEZER BUTLER and VINNY APICE performing classic SABBATH songs such as “The Mob Rules”, “Lady Evil”, “Die Young” and “Neon Knights” will surely be one of the stand out moments in the 10 year history of BLOODSTOCK, and is not to be missed.
The BLOODSTOCK OPEN AIR METAL FESTIVAL 2010 will take place at Catton Hall, Derbyshire from 13th – 15th August.
Weekend tickets are on sale now at www.bloodstock.uk.com
